Apex Legends data miners are suggesting that season 12 might introduce a new team deathmatch mode.
Apex Legends is basically a battle royale game that is based in the same universe as the Titanfall franchise of video games. Despite it being released in a market congested with other battle royale shooters, Apex Legends quickly made a name for itself and put Respawn Entertainment on the global map.
Apart from their amusing first-person shooter mechanics, Apex Legends had a diverse cast of characters all with unique abilities. And all of these factors combined made the game stand out from the crowd.
Back in 2019, Apex Legends launched with a basic battle royale mode. Although Respawn later added a 3v3 style mode called Arenas to offer players more game modes to play.
Team Deathmatch Mode in Apex Legends
Now, a new leak by prominent Apex Legends data miner suggests a variant of team deathmatch mode might be coming to the game in the upcoming season 12 of Apex Legends. It will be similar to the “domination” mode from CoD where two teams spawn in the opposite direction of a map which is usually smaller in size compared to big battle royale maps.
The main objective is to capture and defend capture points that are scattered throughout the map. Usually, two capture points remain near each respective camp while a highly contested capture point remains at the very center of two spawn points.
Also, players usually get a fast respawn option in this game mode. According to leaks, there will be multiple loadouts featuring weapons for players to choose at spawn similar to the current Arenas game mode. First, there will be three featured loadouts for players to try out.
Apparently, there will also be base loadouts such as assault, heavy, blitz, marksman, sniper, and some other challenge-related loadouts. And the weapons in these loadouts will come with all the attachments installed by default.
Aside from these base loadouts, there will be challenge-related loadouts as well.
Data miners are suggesting that this new game mode with custom loadouts might be available as soon as season 12. Since this is still a leak from data miners, take them with a grain of salt.
100 Player Lobbies
Code found in the game files also suggests Respawn might be testing lobbies with 100 players.
However, Respawn hasn’t made any official announcement regarding this. So, take it with a grain of salt as well.
