After competing for 5 straight years, Albralelie decided to step down from competitive Apex Legends for the foreseeable future.

Albralelie has been a prominent figure in the Apex Legends community since the dawn of the game. After Dizzy and Aceu, Albralelie had been the talk of the community for his insane mechanical prowess and Pathfinder movement.

During that time after joining TSM, Albralelie was one of the best players the community had ever seen. With ImperialHal and Reps, the pro player won 5x A and S tier tournaments in just less than two years.

Nevertheless, things started to fall apart when Albralelie left TSM. Since then, the young talent tried his luck with many promising organizations like Team Liquid, Cloud9, FaZe, CLG, LANimals, and FURIA. However, none of these teams worked out the way he anticipated, resulting in him making the hardest decision of his career.

On March 2, 2024, Albralelie announced on his Twitter that he would no longer be competing in Apex Legends for the foreseeable future. His last competitive match will be on March 3, in Round 3 of ALGS Split 1 Pro League NA.

Currently, Albralelie is playing with Scuwry and Hambino in a mixed team called SKRT and standing in 17th position out of 30 in the league. SKRT has two more match days remaining before they can qualify for the Playoffs. However, it looks like Albralelie will only be playing in the upcoming match.

The pro player said that the reason for making the hard decision was his mental health, which hasn’t been in his favor for the last three years. Hence, it is a necessary step back for him to recollect himself and move forward.

Sunday will be my last day competing in Apex for the foreseeable future. My mental health hasn’t been worse in the past 3 years and I just desperately need a break. Competing has been my life for the past 5 years and I’m sure I’ll miss it, but right now I need to take a step back recollect myself and move forward.

Albralelie also mentioned in his post that the hate from the competitive viewer base was also a reason for making his mental state worse.

The Competitive viewer base has done a number on making my mental worse, turned my chat into a toxic place and i’m sure has pushed some of my core viewers away. I know i’ve been a comp player for a long time and am known so its expected to get hate here and there, but it’s been over the top lately and I feel many of you forget that I’m human just like you and while results may not be showing as of late, I am trying my best.

Although Albralelie said that he’d stop playing Apex competitively, he did mention not to quit Apex for good. He’ll still play and stream Apex Legends, as well as other games. Having fun and connecting with the community is something Albralelie is going for in the next steps toward his career.

I will be continuing to stream Apex and stream in general, I want to go back to just playing games and having fun which is something I feel I’ve lost somewhere along the way. I want to start being more involved with my community, doing sub/viewer clip ratings, maybe some on stream coaching again and possibly host some tournaments for you guys.
