Apex Legends could be getting another significant loot adjustment with the upcoming Mid-Season Update. According to known Apex Legends leaker HYPERMYST, Respawn is preparing changes aimed at improving healing items and making late-game loot more rewarding.

The reported update appears to build on Respawn’s major Season 30 loot overhaul, which significantly changed how players progress from basic equipment to high-tier gear throughout a match.

In brief

  • Apex Legends’ Mid-Season Update will reportedly adjust the loot pool
  • Healing item availability is expected to be improved
  • Late-game loot should become more rewarding
  • Respawn has already made major changes to loot progression in Season 30

Apex Legends Mid-Season Update Could Improve Healing Loot

According to HYPERMYST, healing items are one of the areas Respawn plans to improve in the Mid-Season Update. Exact numbers have not been revealed yet, so it remains unclear whether this means increased Med Kit, Shield Battery, Phoenix Kit, or general healing item spawn rates.

However, additional access to healing resources could make a noticeable difference, particularly following extended fights where squads can quickly burn through their supply of meds.

Respawn has already been experimenting with healing throughout 2026. Earlier this year, the developer introduced Chain Healing, allowing players to queue healing items and automatically begin another heal after completing the current one.

Late-Game Loot Is Reportedly Getting Better

The leak also claims late-game loot will be improved. And this is particularly interesting because Season 30 introduced a major overhaul to Apex Legends’ overall power progression. Respawn reduced the amount of high-quality loot appearing normally around maps, making purple and other powerful items rarer while increasing their importance at special loot locations.

Respawn explained that the goal was to prevent players from reaching nearly complete loadouts too early and instead create a more meaningful progression curve throughout each match.

Improving late-game rewards could be the next part of that system. Players who survive longer may have better opportunities to upgrade their equipment before the final rings, potentially making Care Packages and other high-value loot sources even more important.

Respawn has not officially detailed these specific Mid-Season loot adjustments yet. The developer has previously said it plans to rapidly respond to feedback and data with balance and quality-of-life changes throughout 2026.
