How to Combine Materials in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Weapons and Shields
To start the fusion process, take the weapon that you want to fuse in your hand. Make sure the item that you want to fuse your weapon with can be found nearby. Hold down the L button, and it will open a wheel option. Select the Fuse option from the wheel to activate the Fuse ability.
Now with the ability activated, look at the item lying on the ground. It will give you two options to craft a weapon or a shield each. To craft a weapon, press the Y button. Similarly, to craft a shield, press the ZL button.
Materials
Players can also craft and attach items with the Arrows to create unique projectiles aside from fusing weapons and shields. Equip the bow by pressing the ZR button. Once the bow is equipped, press and hold the UP button on the D-pad to bring the materials menu. Now scroll through the materials, and once you select the material you want to fuse, leave the UP button. It will fuse the material with the arrow and create new projectiles for you to throw around.
