Compared to most tactical shooters, the skins in VALORANT are in a league of their own with vivid looks and cool animations. But not all skins are created equally. Some of the skins released in the game range from bad to worse to downright awful. This article will focus on these fails and will also rank the worst skins in VALORANT from Bad to Worst. Since there is a lot to cover, we’re going to rank the worst skin bundles as a whole instead of individual weapon skins.

Top 10 Worst Skins in VALORANT

Among all the bad skin collections released in the game, let’s take a look at the top 10 worst ones to date. Note that we are keeping this list limited to the purchasable weapon collections in the game only and not to the battle pass skins. As battle pass skins are technically obtained for free with the purchase of an inexpensive battle pass, we won’t go too hard on them.

We will be ranking the entire collections as ranking the individual skins would make this list too long. Furthermore, some weapon skins within a weapon bundle might be decent, but we are considering all the weapon skins together and the bundle overall in our ranking.:

10. Silvanus Collection

Starting off our list, we have the Silvanus collection. Riot’s probable worst money-grab with VALORANT was the introduction of 3D skins. This collection, in particular, features a moving scene of a winter night which is pretty underwhelming, to say the least.

  • Rarity: Deluxe Edition
  • Price: 1275 VP
  • How to Buy: Store, Night Market
  • VFX, GFX, Finisher: No
  • Color Variants: No

9. Horizon Collection

Coming in at #14, we have the Horizon Collection, another 3D skin. The idea behind this skin was good; a cloud-themed skin would be cool to own. But the execution was so poor that the Horizon skins looked like Riot puked some color on a skin and called it a day.

  • Rarity: Deluxe Edition
  • Price: 1275 VP
  • How to Buy: Store, Night Market
  • VFX, GFX, Finisher: No
  • Color Variants: No

8. Black Market Collection

Black Market skins simply doesn’t go with VALORANT. This skin looks like some default guns from CS2. The collection doesn’t even come with any animations like most other premium bundles.

  • Rarity: Deluxe Edition
  • Price: 1775 VP
  • How to Buy: Store, Night Market
  • VFX, GFX, Finisher: No
  • Color Variants: No

7. Avalanche Collection

The Avalance collection looks like Riot gave up and just whipped out a winter-themed skin just for the sake of it. Just slap on some blueish textures, and you got Avalanace, right? This is what we call lazy design.

  • Rarity: Deluxe Edition
  • Price: 1275 VP
  • How to Buy: Store, Night Market
  • VFX, GFX, Finisher: No
  • Color Variants: No

6. Sensation Collection

Sensation skin bundle is another example of color puking. This is not even a 3D design. The design is quiet simple with lots of questionable color mixing.

  • Rarity: Select Edition
  • Price: 875 VP
  • How to Buy: Store, Night Market
  • VFX, GFX, Finisher: No
  • Color Variants: No

5. Nebula Collection

The one that started the 3D skin trend is the Nebula collection. This nifty feature seems unique at a first glance, but the fact that skin lacks any sort of animations, sound effects, and finishers while still costing the full price of a Premium skin makes it the 7th worst skin on our list.

  • Rarity: Premium Edition
  • Price: 1775 VP
  • How to Buy: Store, Night Market
  • VFX, GFX, Finisher: No
  • Color Variants: No

4. Smite collection

This is just another example of a lazy design. The idea of the design is interesting. Image of lighting bolts on a blue-ish texture. But in reality, the skin looks quiet bland and dull in hand.

  • Rarity: Deluxe Edition
  • Price: 1275 VP
  • How to Buy: Store, Night Market
  • VFX, GFX, Finisher: No
  • Color Variants: No

3. Undercity Collection

If you mix the the Glitchpop collection with some Cyberpunk thematic pictures you will get the Undercity collection. The unique part here is the 3D design. But like the other 3D skins, this one fails also to deliver. The worst part is this skin has no variants, no VFX, no animations, and no finishers like a premium bundle. The Undercity collection can somewhat be justified as a Deluxe Collection at best.

  • Rarity: Premium Edition
  • Price: 1775 VP
  • How to Buy: Store, Night Market
  • VFX, GFX, Finisher: No
  • Color Variants: No

2. Minima Collection

What happens when you take the stock black weapons, decrease the polygons and try to sell them back to the players at the price of a Deluxe Edition skin? The Minima skins feature a very boxy appearance in the default black color scheme. It doesn’t even feel like a skin. From a distance, it looks just like another deafult skins.

  • Rarity: Deluxe Edition
  • Price: 1275 VP
  • How to Buy: Store, Night market
  • VFX, GFX, Finisher: No
  • Color Variants: No

1. Spline Collection

At #1, we have the Spline collection. Looking like something straight out of a morbid virus outbreak or something from an Alien planet, the Spline skin collection just screams ugly.

Coming in at a Premium price of 1775 VP, this skin has none of the premium features like animations, sound effects, kills banners, or finishers. All you get is an ugly skin which uglier color variations, and that’s all. Most of the previous skins made this list because of being boring, but this is the skin that topped the list because of how god awful it is to look at, making the Spline Collection the worst skin to be released in VALORANT so far.

  • Rarity: Premium Edition
  • Price: 1775 VP
  • How to Buy: Store, Night Market
  • VFX, GFX, Finisher: No
  • Color Variants: Yes

So this wraps up our top 10 Worst skins in VALORANT. Note that, like all lists, this is subjective, and your personal rankings might differ from the ones we have here. You can also take a look at the best skins for other weapons in the game.
