League of Legends Worlds 2020 group stage is settled down with eight of the best teams advancing to the Quarterfinals.
Group stage matches kicked off October 3 and ended today with 16 best teams from each region competing against each other. During this time period, we have seen a lot of upsets and some of the most exciting games League of Legends has to offer.
Even with all odds, Suning, DAMWON Gaming, Gen.G, and Top Esports have managed to secure the first place from their respective groups. Moreover, as only two teams would advance in the Knockout Stage the competition for the second place was even tougher. After going through a bloodbath G2 Esports, JD Gaming, Fnatic, and DRX have succeeded to advance in the Quarterfinals.
The quarterfinals’ draw is done in a way so that no team can face their group’s opponent in the semifinal or in the Quarterfinals/Knockout Stage.
