When Do You Unlock the Wingsuit

Fortunately, Spiderman-2 does not wait around to give you access to the Wingsuit. The game introduces the new mechanic in the mission ‘Surface Tension’, which is the very first main mission.

How To Use the Wingsuit in Spiderman-2

Spiderman-2 Web WIng

Using the Wingsuit is quite easy as all you need to do is find a high location to jump from, or swing yourself up high, jump, and then press the triangle button on the DualSense Controller.

For navigation, use your left analog stick when you’re in flight. Do note that by default, the web wing controls will be inverted by the Y-axis, meaning that moving the stick down will veer Spiderman upwards. Although this setting can be changed from the controls

Using Updrafts and Wind Tunnels

Spiderman 2 Wind Tunnels

The Web wings of your Wingsuit do not actually give you the ability to fly. It’s dependent on the momentum to keep you afloat and gliding. Therefore, to make it more convenient the game introduces updrafts and windtunnels which are just gusts of wind that can carry you over long distances in a matter of seconds.

Using Both Web Swinging and Web Wings

The best way to traverse in Spiderman-2 is to use both the age old web-swinging mechanic alongside the new web wings mechanic. As mentioned before, gliding with the wingsuit descends over time, thus it’s ideal to pair it with web-swinging to maintain both elevation and velocity as you get to your objective.
