What are photo ops in Spider-Man 2?
Photo Ops are a new type of collectible activity added to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Scattered across the massive open-world map are designated spots where you can take pictures of unique events, people, or scenes happening in New York City.
When you arrive at a photo op location, you’ll be prompted to pull up your in-game camera and take a picture of the specified subject. This might be something like a street performer, an interesting architectural detail, or even just a funny slice-of-life moment between NPCs.
The photos you take will be sent to the Daily Bugle, so they might be published, which adds a fun role-playing aspect. There are 23 photo ops in total to find. To finish them all, you need to explore, observe, and have a good eye for how photos should be put together.
Photo Ops Rewards
⦿ Each photo op completed will reward you with XP and tokens. This makes it worth it to look for them, even if it’s just for the fun of being a virtual photographer.
⦿ The XP totals 150 for each photo op, adding up to 3450 XP if you complete all 23 across New York.
⦿ Tokens are also granted, with 2 City Tokens per photo. That comes out to 46 Tokens total for all the photo ops. Tokens are valuable for upgrading skills and suits.
⦿ The big reward for completing all the photo ops is unlocking the “New York, New York” trophy. This trophy is tied to achieving 100% completion in every district, so getting those photos snapped helps inch closer to that goal.
