Locations of Mysterio's Myesteriums: Spider-Man 2

Search for the Mysteriums to meet Mysterio with fewer miseries with us!

Appearing for the first time in The Amazing Spider-Man #13 in 1964, Mysterio has once again appeared in Spider-Man 2. Even though his appearance was kept a secret, Marvel and Spider-Man fanatics had a clear idea about what this sequel was about to bring. And Insomniac did not let us down. Even though it wasn’t part of the main story, the way to approach Mysterio is quite a tantrum.

To confront this one-of-a kind antagonist, we have to look out for the mysteriums that are scattered all over New York. These mysteriums work like tokens that we can use to unlock new suits and upgrade our skills. However, these tokens aren’t the only things waiting for you at those points. You have to be prepared, and if you can fulfill some side objectives, you can get the highest number of tokens possible for that particular quest. So to make your way a bit easier, let me guide you through the end. Hop in!

Under Construction

HaremObjectiveRewards
Defeat 20 enemiesGold: Complete in less than 1 Minute
(2 Hero Tokens)
Silver: Complete in less than 1:30 minutes
(1 Hero Token)
Bronze: Over 1:30 minutes (1 Hero Token)

Even though the enemies are weaker, remember that you have to hit the clock before it reaches 60 seconds. I would suggest waiting until Venom fuses with you. Moreover, certain gadgets like Ricochet Web can save you some time if you can plan well. Moreover, make a strategy to cover the whole arena rather than going after a single worthless piece of life.

Everyone’s a Critic

Central ParkObjectiveRewards
Defeat 30 enemiesGold: Complete in less than 1:45 Minute
(2 Hero Tokens)
Silver: Complete in less than 2:15 minutes
(1 Hero Token)
Bronze: Over 2:15 minutes (1 Hero Token)

Here we will be facing off with Mysterio’s fist rather than facing him directly. In the meantime, you will have to level the ground that will contain 30 enemies. There is a slight advantage, as you can use the Web Grabber to pull in the enemies in the area where Mysterio is about to land his fist. Work smart, not hard.

Prison Break

Upper East SideObjectiveRewards
Defeat 20 enemiesGold: Complete in less than 2:15 minutes (2 Hero Tokens)
Silver: Complete in less than 2:45 minutes (1 Hero Token)
Bronze: Over 2:45 minutes (1 Hero Token)

This can get a little tricky. In this quest, Mysterio will appear for real and will act like a little sissy. What he will do is put up a shield to protect his goons from you. So you better watch out when he puts up that shield. Just before he is about to bring out the shield, either put a single melee or a finisher on him for a few moments of KO before he wakes up again. In the meantime, level the zone. Gadgets? Well, yeah, you can throw one or two webs, but much better if you are prepared with a finisher.

The Invisible Enemy

MidtownObjectiveRewards
Finisher on 6 enemiesGold: Complete in less than 2: 10 minutes
(2 Hero Tokens)
Silver: Complete in less than 2:40 minutes
(1 Hero Token)
Bronze: Over 2:40 minutes (1 Hero Token)

The fact that your enemies will keep disappearing here should be the last thing to worry about. They will attack you with mostly ranged weapons, so if you are in the air, you have high ground. And if your suit is equipped with Aerial Focus technology, you can charge your Finisher moves much faster. Work on that, and you should be good to go.

Fight on Time

ChinatownObjectiveRewards
Finisher on 6 enemiesGold: Complete in less than 3:30 minutes
(2 Hero Tokens)
Silver: Complete in less than 5 minutes
(1 Hero Token)
Bronze: Over 5 minutes (1 Hero Token)

The last trick should work here as well. However, be careful of that giant laser beam. Come to think of it, it didn’t seem to focus on locking me while I was in the air. It seemed weird, but the job was quite easier after that. Check if it works for you as well.

Punch Your Ticket

Downtime QueensObjectiveRewards
Defeat 6 BrutesGold: Complete in less than 2 minutes
(2 Hero Tokens)
Silver: Complete in less than 3:20 minutes
(1 Hero Token)
Bronze: Over 3:20 minutes (1 Hero Token)

When you realize that these big brutes aren’t going to waste time trying to evade the trains, getting the Gold gets much easier. You just have to lure them onto the tracks and let the locomaster do his job. In the meantime, get ready with some finesse. And note that these brutes need 2 full focus bars to put them to sleep.

Road Rage

WilliamsburgObjectiveRewards
Take fewer hitsGold: No hits taken (2 Hero Tokens)
Silver: Fewer than 3 hits (1 Hero Token)
Bronze: More than 3 hits (1 Hero Token)

The key to survival is to park the bus. Even though you might have a clever idea to lure them onto the roads and think of the traffic as your ally, goons with rifles will prove you wrong. For that, I suggest replying to them with your own ranged attacks. Also, be on constant motion, as you want to land no bullets, let alone one or two.

Grave Decision

WilliamsburgObjectiveRewards
Take fewer hits
(3 enemy waves)
Gold: No hits taken (2 Hero Tokens)
Silver: Fewer than 3 hits (1 Hero Token)
Bronze: More than 3 hits (1 Hero Token)

Mysterio will appear once again to do some tanter. This time, he will be attacking you with a range of projectiles. So, watch out for that. I saved up the focus bar to keep him out of the area for some seconds, and in the meantime, I had to focus on the other sissies that were playing around. You might want to explore some of the gadgets to get the advantage that I seemed to have misused. You will do great!

Fear of Heights

Downtown BrooklynObjectiveRewards
Knock 15 enemies in the airGold: Complete in less than 1:30 minutes (2 Hero Tokens)
Silver: Complete in less than 2:15 minutes (1 Hero Token)
Bronze: Over 2:15 minutes (1 Hero Token)

This is by far the most relaxing one. I highly recommend upgrading your gadgets to the highest level. Then just use the Webshooter to send the enemies off to space to learn some astrophysics. In the meantime, Mysterio will try to poke you with some Halloween skulls. You can just counter them and send them where they came from.

Where There is a Mystery, there is Mysterio

Mysterio in Spider-Man 2

Finally, the halloween-themed antagonist will make his appearance to fight on toe toe. He will be waiting for you in Coney Island. Remember all the tips and tricks I told you about till now. If you can imply them with proper strategy, you will slay down Mysterio in no time.

After he is gone for good, you will get the Mysterio-themed suit, which is pretty neat. And last but not least, you can replay the Mysterium quests if you feel like going for the gold. After all, you will need those tokens to unlock suits and other neat skills.
