Riot has revealed one of the upcoming exclusive skins coming to Wild Rift, Shan Hai Scrolls Aatrox.
Many skins are released in League of Legends based on various real-life events. One such event is Lunar New Year.
Lunar New Year is the celebration of the start of lunisolar calendars, whose months are based on moon cycles. Since this event is mainly celebrated in China, it is also known as Chinese New Year. Almost every popular media celebrates this event, and League of Legends is no exception.
There are many skin lines in League of Legends released for the Lunar New Year. Some of them are Firecracker, Warring Kingdoms, Lunar Wraith, Lunar Beasts, etc.
For Lunar New Year, Riot released the Mythmaker skin line earlier this year. And now, five months later, Riot will release an exclusive Wild Rift skin based on a Lunar Revel skin line. That skin is Shan Hai Scrolls Aatrox.
Aatrox was released on patch 3.5 of Wild Rift. And ever since his release, he became an S-tier top laner. Because of his insane sustain and solo carry potential, he was a highly picked champion. Moreover, for the same reason, he has been a target for several nerfs.
As for cosmetics, Aatrox only has one skin he received during his launch, Blood Moon Aatrox. And his second skin will be a Wild Rift exclusive.
Shan Hai Scrolls is a universe where champions are depicted as mythological creatures. This skin line is the most underrated Lunar New Year skin. However, Shan Hai Scrolls Aatrox does not look good as other skins in this universe. It looks very similar to his base model. But since the only other available Aatrox skin is Blood Moon Aatrox, Shan Hai Aatrox isn’t bad skin.
