Voice chat bug in VALORANT lets you listen to your muted teammates

A really weird bug in VALORANT is now interfering with the game’s in-game push to talk feature.

Some players are complaining about a sound glitch in the game that is toggling the party voice chat from “push to talk” to always on. And as a result, players in the same lobby can hear each other the entire duration of the match even if they were muted from the start.

Right now, multiple players in the community are sharing their stories regarding the situation. Turns out, it is currently a widespread issue and is affecting players for some time now. Furthermore, the players can apparently still hear your conversation even after the match is over.

While for the most part, this is not in any way game-breaking, it can still create some privacy concerns for players. Since some players don’t know they are being heard over the mic even after they muted the voice chat, it can create some uncomfortable situations for players.

As of writing Riot Games still hasn’t made any official announcement regarding the issue. But minor issues like these should be fixed. And we will update you with the latest information as soon as Riot Games officially acknowledges the issue.
