Skye is one of the strongest agents in VALORANT. She is the only initiator in the game, able to flash, heal, and recon simultaneously. The arsenal of utilities at her disposal makes her one of the most sought-after agents in the game. Considering her utilities’ usability, Riot has decided to nerf Skye in Patch 7.04. Let’s take a look at her upcoming changes:

  • Guiding Light (E)
    • Max duration while casting reduced 2.5s >>>2s

Skye’s flash can now fly for 2 seconds, getting reduced from 2.5 seconds. It means players would have to worry less about the length of the Guiding Lights flight. Unfortunately, it means Skye’s birds are now less capable of gathering info at longer ranges.

  • Trailblazer (Q)
    • HP reduced 100>>>80

Skye’s Tasmanian Tiger or Trailblazer has received a nerf in the upcoming patch. Its base HP has been reduced to 80 from 100. Players can now destroy her Trailblazer quickly, making it ineffective at long-range recon.

  • Seekers (X)
    • Ultimate Points increased 7 >>>8
    • Seeker Health decreased 150>>>120

Skye’s Seekers, or her ultimate ability, has been massively nerfed. Skye now requires 8 Ultimate points instead of 7, which means her Ultimate is more expensive than before. Moreover, its health has been decreased to 120 from 150.

So, Skye’s Nerf will surely shift its position in the current agent comps. It will be interesting to new agent comps in the upcoming patch of VALORANT after the massive balancing changes.
