Riot Games revealed that VALORANT will feature a new game mode, which will be the VALORANT’s take on Team Deathmatch.

VALORANT offers game modes like Deathmatch, Spike Rush, Swiftplay, Unrated, and Competitive. Additionally, there are three rotating game modes: Escalation, Replication, and Snowball Fight, which change with every patch.

Although Competitive or Ranked is the most popular game mode in VALORANT, not everyone wants to grind Ranked every Act. Moreover, playing one game mode repeatedly makes the VALORANT experience somewhat dull.

So, every now and then, Riot Games comes up with different game mode ideas so their player base can keep experiencing something new in the game. It keeps the games fresh as well as assures players that the developers still care about the game and its player base.

Not long before, Riot Games launched the beta version of Premier mode globally for the die-hard VALORANT competitive fans. Before that, Riot Games introduced Swiftplay, a shorter version of Unrated. Now, the developers are planning to release Team Deathmatch mode very soon. However, unlike the free-for-all mode, there will be added spices mixed in VALORANT’s TDM.

VALORANT HURM Game Mode

Andy Ho, the game director of VALORANT, talked a little bit about the upcoming game mode in the recent What’s Next in 2023 // Dev Diaries video. Although he didn’t specify the game mode’s name, ValorLeaks, a prominent data miner in the community, said it is called HURM.

While describing the HURM game mode, Andy Ho said, “It’ll be a fast-paced mode, featuring tactical gunplay with weapons across the arsenal, Agents and their abilities, and new maps built specifically for the mode.”

HURM will be VALORANT’s take on the Team Deathmatch mode. Moreover, unlike the free-for-all and other modes, HURM will feature custom maps. So, it will bring some freshness into the game.

HURM Release Date

VALORANT’s ability-based Team Deathmatch will release alongside Episode 7 Act 3, which is set to go live on June 27, 2023.
