Riot Games has finally revealed more information regarding their upcoming duelist agent in VALORANT called Neon.

VALORANT was Riot’s first foray into the tactical first-person shooter genre of games. And keeping up with their tradition, they brought their amusing hero creation expertise to this title as well. As such, VALORANT already has a pretty colorful cast of characters all with unique abilities.

Seems like the character design team at Riot Games don’t intend to slow down anytime soon as they just revealed a new gameplay trailer that gave us a closer look at a new duelist. Based on first impressions, it seems like she is going to be a fan-favorite alongside Jett as her kits are based on speed.

Also, Riot went all in for this new agent with custom sprint and sliding animation since she is the only agent in this title so far who can use advanced movement mechanics such as sprint and slide.

Neon Abilities:

Fast Lane:

Neon’s first ability is Fast Lane. This one lets Neon fire two energy lines forward on the ground that extend a short distance or until they hit a surface. The lines work similarly to Phoenix’s wall and block vision and also damages enemies passing through.

Relay Bolt:

Neon’s 2nd ability is Relay Bolt. This one throws down an energy bolt that bounces once. The bolt then electrifies the ground below for each surface it touched which concussed the enemies.

High Gear:

Neon’s third ability is High Gear. This allows Neon to channel her power for increased movement speed. When using this ability pressing the ‘alt fire’ button will trigger a slide. The charge of the slide ability recharges every two kills.

Overdrive:

Neon’s Ultimate is Overdrive. This allows Neon to fire her ability from the tip of her fingers in a highly accurate electric beam. Additionally, this beam has very little movement penalty and is highly accurate even when moving. Its cooldown also resets on each kill.

Neon’s Nationality:

Neon is going to be the first agent to represent the Philippines.
