Riot Games released an API for developers to get a peek into what’s happening behind the curtain. Meaning we can finally get a glimpse into the Rank distribution and agent pick rates in VALORANT.

Keep in mind we will try to update this list every month to create more up-to-date information for players so that they can get an overview of the current meta.

Players will also get an overview of the whole rank system, distribution, and which agents are getting picked on across different maps in the competitive game mode. Since Riot Games makes major changes to the game on a regular basis, we will try to keep the list updated after any major changes.

Also, players will get an overview of exactly how many players are currently playing this tactical shooter. And has the player base dropped in number since the initial hype for the game has died down quite a bit?

Valorant Player Count based on Twitch

As Riot Games hasn’t shared any data regarding their total player count following the closed beta in which they saw an average of 3 million players daily, it is not possible to say exactly how many players are currently playing this tactical shooter at the moment.

However, we can use Twitch’s viewer base as a metric to identify how the game might be doing in terms of player count and average viewership.

From this graph, we can clearly see a massive decline in the overall viewership and the number of channels that were streaming VALORANT on a regular basis. Even though the viewership didn’t reach its peak again following the launch, we can still see a steady rise in the number of dedicated channels that are currently streaming the game and the overall viewership which saw a decent uplift during the recent Masters’ tournament.

We can safely assume the future of VALORANT as an Esports is in the right hands and it is still going in the right direction.
