Riot has revealed the upcoming championship skin line for Nova Esports, featuring Lee Sin, Lucian, Morgana, Riven, and Nasus skins.
Esports skins are a staple in League of Legends. Since 2012, Riot has started to make esports skin for champions of each World Championship. The first team to receive a Worlds skin line was Taipei Assassins or TPA. In 2014, Riot even made a Worlds skin for the first Worlds Championship winner of 2011, Fnatic.
We have seen prominent skin lines from the World Championship skin line like SSG, SSW, EDG, iG, etc. And especially after 2017, their quality has gotten better. The last esports skin we received, EDG, is considered the best World Championship skin. Moreover, this year, we will receive a DRX skin line as they are the previous League of Legends Worlds winners.
However, for Wild Rift, Riot did not make any World Championship or esports skins. But this year will be the first they will make an esports skin line.
In 2022, Nova Esports won the Icons Global Championship. This tournament is the Wild Rift equivalent of League of Legends Worlds. Nova Esports fought against J Team and easily won against them.
And now, recently, Riot announced that they would be releasing Nova Esports-themed championship skins for Wild Rift.
