While there haven’t been any claims from Mihoyo for upcoming character leaks, a few sources claim to know the possible roadmap for the upcoming characters in Genshin Impact from 4.2 to 4.5.
With the introduction of Nuevillette & Wriothesley’s in the latest 4.2 trailers and version program, you might be tempted to pull on them right away.

[Speculated] Upcoming Character Roadmap Genshin Impact
Here’s the rumored roadmap to the upcoming characters in Genshin Impact from Version 4.2 to 4.5. Remember that miHoYo has not officially confirmed anything yet, so take this info with a grain of salt.
Version 4.2
In version 4.2, the archon quest will reach its conclusion, and only 1 new playable 5-star character, the Hydro Archon, Furina, should get her banner.
Similar to how miHoYo handled Nahida’s release, Furina is also set to come after her archon quest is completed.
Along with Furina, the rerun characters for 4.2 are rumored to be Ayato, Baizu & Cyno. The 4-star hydro bow character Sigwenne is also said to be a part of this patch.
As the previous action from Hoyoverse supports the release of an archon after their archon quest, the banner structure can be the following:
- Phase 1: Ayato & Baizu
- Phase 2: Furina & Cyno | Sigwenne
Version 4.3
As for version 4.3, the speculated 5-star release is Navia, the wonderful lady we met as our journey began in Fontaine. She is a Geo DPS, which was a necessary addition to the game as the last 5-star Geo DPS was Itto.
According to leakers, this patch will focus on Inazuma and Sumeru, and possible banner characters are Raiden, whose last rerun was back in version 3.3, Ayaka, Wanderer, or Yoimiya.
The possible banner structure for this version can be:
- Phase 1: Navia & Ayaka
- Phase 2: Raiden & Wanderer or Yoimiya
Version 4.4
In version 4.4, Genshin will host the Lantern Rite festival, and you know what that means; it’s time for Liyue exclusive characters to reign supreme. We speculate Triple Banners will make a comeback.
Sumeru will also be involved in this patch, and the speculated character lineup involves Alhaitam, Nahida, Nilou, Xiao, Ganyu, and Shenha.
There is also a rumor that Cloud Retainer will also be a part of this patch. Moreover, the rumors also suggest that her character is an anemo support & healer.
As for the banner cycle, we speculate the following:
- Phase 1: Xiao, Ganyu, Shenha
- Phase 2: Nahida, Alhaitam, Nilou
Version 4.5
There isn’t much information regarding version 4.5 yet. But if we believe in the rumors spreading across the community, “The Knave” Arlecchino and Clorinde will get their banners in this patch.
As for the rerun characters, Itto should make his return, as it has been too long without him. Yae Miko and Albedo share the same fate. With that said, the banners for 4.5 can be the following:

- Phase 2: Clorinde & Yae Miko
