We are finally getting close to the end of the 5.0 patches and preparing to enter Nod Krai, the pseudo-region, before Snezhnaya. There are still 2 more patches before we are introduced to the new region. And a lot of exciting characters will make their appearance in the meantime.
While there hasn’t been any official confirmation from Hoyoverse, we have a lot of leaks and predictions based on previous patterns to prepare for Genshin Impact 5.7 and 5.8 banners.

Genshin Impact 5.7 Banners
Genshin Impact 5.7 is going to be one of the most exciting patches, as we will get bangers after bangers in this patch.
Skirk
Hoyoverse teased the release of Skirk in their big reveal plan for the upcoming characters in the version 5.4 livestream. We have been wondering when she will appear, and now it’s unofficially confirmed that she is coming in 5.7.
Her beta leaks and kit details suggest that she will be one of the strongest single-target DPS in the game. Follow my Skirk Kit Breakdown for more details!
Skirk will follow the new character release pattern will be featured in the first phase of 5.7.
Chasca
Teaming up with Skirk in the first phase will be either Chasca or Mualani, as both of these characters haven’t gotten their first rerun yet, and we usually get reruns of new characters before their region’s patch finishes. But my bet is on Chasca as she has lower sales than Mualani and the first phase will heavily focus on Skirk without any doubt.
Mavuika
5.7 is looking to drain your wallets as Mavuika will get her first rerun after her blazing release. She is without doubt the strongest DPS and Pyro enabler in the game right now (Skirk might jab at her throne).
She has both powerful constellations and a great weapon. Therefore, if you are thinking of vertical investment on her, then you better start saving up primogems.
Citlali
It would be criminal to have Mavuika without Citlali. She is the perfect support for Mavuika and brings out her full potential with her constant melt support and buffs. Having her share the second stage is also beneficial for Hoyoverse as players will likely spend more on the banner if she is a part of it.
Genshin Impact 5.8 Banners
As per previous patterns, the 5.8 patch will introduce a new limited-time island for the summer event. While there aren’t any new characters scheduled for 5.8, there are some exciting reruns that’ll occur before we dive into Nod Krai.
Arlecchino
We didn’t get an Arlecchino Rerun, and what is the best time to run her, just before Nod Krai releases, who knows she might also be the one joining us in the Archon quest that leads to Nod Krai!
She is one of the strongest DPS in the game and has been recently dethroned as the strongest by the Pyro Archon herself.
Emilie
By the time 5.8 launches, it will be a complete year since Emilie was released. She is bound for a rerun. Characters need to be rerun at least once before Hoyo can put them in the Chronicle Wish Banner.
Neuvillette
Another character who should get his rerun is going to be Neuvillette. He is still one of the contenders for the strongest in the Genshin Impact Meta, and it’s been a while since we have seen the Hydro Sovereign.
Not to mention, he and Arlecchino go hand in hand. And Hoyoverse won’t hesitate to drain our pockets by giving the two most desired DPS in the same patch.
Mualani
Completing the Natlan character cycle and declaring the end of the 5.0 patches is Mualani. She was the first exclusive character in this region and hasn’t gotten her rerun yet. Unless she reruns in 5.7 (which is highly unlikely) , then her place will be taken by Chasca.
