Riot Games has finally revealed the release date of their most anticipated Udyr rework.
Udyr is one of the earliest champions to be ever released in League of legends. Even though the game got older, refined, and became more modern, Udyr, on the other hand, remained one of the outdated champions in the game.
From having a very simple kit to an outdated in-game model, Udyr overall was regarded as one of the worst champions in the game.
Even in the pro scene, Udyr didn’t get much play outside the Turbo Chemtank meta. And because of all these reasons, Riot games ended up forming a VGU poll, where Udyr won by a large margin.

As a result, Riot, this time, is going to rework him without sacrificing what made him iconic, similar to what they did to Fiddlesticks and Warwick. In their latest blog post about Udyr, it was shown that Udyr will still be keeping his stance-changing identity and keep him primarily a melee-focused champion.
However, after months of waiting, Riot games finally officially unveiled the release date and almost all the information about the VGU.
Udyr Rework Release Date
The Udyr rework is currently on PBE for testing. And the anticipated rework will officially release for the live servers on patch 12.16, which is scheduled to release on Wednesday, August 24, 2022.
