Rainbow Six Siege is about to step foot into Year 8, and Ubisoft has released a new video teaser, featuring a new anti-cheat feature.

Ubisoft has been teasing Rainbow Six Siege’s Year 8 ahead of the full reveal panel, and we got a glimpse of the new features coming with the new season.

Rainbow Six Siege players were excited to see a new anti-cheat update, titled Mousetrap, being introduced to the game, since the game has been plagued with cheaters and exploiters.

While not much information has been revealed about Mousetrap as of yet, we can predict it to be a security measure to prevent players from using Mouse and Keyboard on consoles.

The official Rainbow Six Siege Twitter account recently shared that they were working on something that will excite the console players. This adds to our hypothesis that ‘Mousetrap’ is the new anti-cheat update, which will aim to mitigate the MnK issues on the console side.

Apart from this, Siege’s Y8S1 Operation Commanding Force will be introducing a brand-new operator, whose name has been revealed yet.

Don’t forget to catch the full reveal of Y8S1 Operation Commanding Force on Feb. 18.
