Ubisoft has finally revealed the PC specifications for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, giving players a much clearer idea of what kind of hardware they will need before jumping back into Edward Kenwayโ€™s pirate adventure. The remake is set to launch on July 9 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, and Ubisoft is clearly aiming for a modern presentation with ray tracing, upscaling, and higher visual presets across the board.

What stands out immediately is that Black Flag Resynced is not asking for lightweight hardware, even at the lower end. Ubisoftโ€™s official specs show that the game targets 1080p at 30 FPS on minimum settings, but even that setup still calls for 16GB RAM, an SSD, and standard ray tracing. That alone tells you this remake is a big step up from the original 2013 release and is built with current-generation hardware in mind.

Minimum PC Specs for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced

Ubisoft lists the minimum target as 1920×1080 at 30 FPS with a low visual preset, standard ray tracing, and balanced upscaling. The required CPUs are an Intel Core i7 8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600. On the GPU side, Ubisoft recommends an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 6GB, AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB, or Intel Arc A580 8GB with ReBAR enabled for Intel cards. RAM is set at 16GB in dual channel, storage requires 65GB on an SSD, and the supported operating systems are Windows 10 64-bit and Windows 11.

That is a fairly demanding minimum spec for a remake, especially because ray tracing is part of the baseline target. Anyone hoping to run this on an older mid-range PC may need to temper expectations a bit, particularly if they are still using a hard drive or less than 16GB of memory.

If you want a more comfortable experience, Ubisoftโ€™s recommended preset targets 1920×1080 at 60 FPS with medium settings, standard ray tracing, and balanced upscaling. For that, the publisher lists an Intel Core i5 10600K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600, paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 12GB, AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT 8GB, or Intel Arc B580 12GB with ReBAR enabled. The RAM and storage requirements remain the same at 16GB and 65GB SSD.

This will likely be the sweet spot for most PC players. 1080p at 60 FPS is still the standard target for a lot of action-adventure fans, and these specs suggest Ubisoft wants Black Flag Resynced to look noticeably better than a simple remaster.

High and Extreme Specs Push Into 1440p and 4K

Ubisoft also shared higher-tier specs for players chasing sharper visuals and better image quality. The high preset is aimed at 2560×1440 at 60 FPS with high settings, standard ray tracing, and quality upscaling. That setup calls for an Intel Core i5 11600K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, alongside an RTX 3080 10GB or Radeon RX 6800 XT 16GB.

For the extreme preset, Ubisoft is targeting 3840×2160 at 60 FPS with ultra settings, extended ray tracing, and quality upscaling. That tier asks for an Intel Core i7 12700K or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D, plus either an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 24GB or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24GB. Those are some very serious requirements, which make it clear Ubisoft expects this remake to be one of the more visually ambitious Assassinโ€™s Creed releases on PC.

Extra PC Features Make the Remake Feel More Modern

Ubisoftโ€™s PC feature list is also worth paying attention to. According to the official reveal, Black Flag Resynced supports ray-traced global illumination and reflections, dynamic resolution, AMD Eyefinity and Nvidia Surround compatibility, an in-game benchmark tool, uncapped framerate during gameplay and cutscenes, handheld presets, HDR, ultra wide support, and upscaler and frame generation options through AMD FSR 4, NVIDIA DLSS 4.5, and Intel XeSS 3.

That is a pretty stacked feature set, and it shows Ubisoft is treating the PC version like a major release rather than an afterthought.

Black Flag Resynced Looks Like a Heavier, More Demanding Remake

The original Assassinโ€™s Creed IV: Black Flag was never known as a brutal PC benchmark, so these new requirements will probably surprise some fans. But once you look at the official targets, it makes sense. Black Flag Resynced is pushing ray tracing, modern upscalers, and much higher visual ambitions, so this is clearly more than a basic touch-up. Ubisoft is positioning it as a full remake built for todayโ€™s platforms, not just a nostalgic replay with shinier textures.
