VALORANT could soon be getting a completely new type of store. Recent datamined files point toward a feature internally called “Soup,” which appears to be a limited-time shop with its own offers, bundles, and a bizarre food-inspired mechanic. Riot Games has not officially announced the feature yet.

In brief:

  • Datamined VALORANT files contain a new store system called “Soup.”
  • The store has its own menu tab, icon, offer type, and bundle support.
  • Four mysterious food-related “ingredients” appear in its code.
  • Soup may operate as a limited-time event store similar to the Night Market.

VALORANT’s New “Soup” Store Appears in Datamined Files

According to VALORANT dataminer valohabercisi, files and background assets connected to “Soup” were added across the last two updates. The feature reportedly has its own tab and icon in the main menu, suggesting it is considerably more than a simple backend test.

  • It has its own tab and icon in the main menu
  • It has its own “SoupOfferDTO” offer type.
  • It supports both individual items and bundles
  • The system tracks whether all offers have been seen.

The files also reference a unique offer type called “SoupOfferDTO.” The system reportedly supports both individual items and bundles while keeping track of whether players have viewed every available offer.

And that setup would make Soup look like a fully developed storefront system rather than another variation of VALORANT’s regular daily shop.

Interestingly, the leaked implementation suggests Soup may not remain available permanently.

Instead, it reportedly functions more like a special event store that Riot can activate whenever it wants. That immediately draws comparisons to VALORANT’s Night Market, although there is currently no confirmation that Soup will offer discounted skins or operate exactly the same way.

What Are the Soup Ingredients?

The strangest part of the leak is an apparent ingredient system.

Four values have been discovered in the files: BEEF_STEW, CHICKEN_NOODLE, CHILI, and GUMBO. The exact purpose of these ingredients remains unknown, but the code suggests players may somehow interact with them before receiving or generating an offer.

The food theme may not be completely random either. VALORANT is currently in Season 26: Act V, and its Battle Pass includes several food and café-inspired cosmetics.

As of writing, Soup remains an unannounced feature found through datamining, so its mechanics, release date, pricing, and even final name could change before Riot officially reveals it.
