Palworld is an open-world survival shooter game where you are able to use unique companions called Pals. They are not only able to help you build items and explore the world but also allow you to use them in combat. You can equip them with weapons and items to help you with your survival.

But the key to using Pals relies heavily on Pal Souls, a unique component that allows you to level up your pals. When you level them up you will see a massive increase in their ATL, Defense, Stamina, and other attributes.
Now if you are like me then you are also struggling with pal souls when you just started your Palworld journey. Don’t worry as that is all this Pal Souls guide is all about. In this guide, I will share every detail you need to know about Pal Souls and how to use them.

What Are Pal Souls
Pal Souls are upgrade materials that you are able to use to upgrade the pals in your inventory. You will need to use a Statue of Power to use the Pal Souls on your desired Pals.
There are 3 types of Pal Souls in Palworld:
- Small Pal Souls
- Medium Pal Souls
- Large Pal Souls
Where to Find Pal Souls
As of this update, there are three ways to get Pal Souls in Palworld:
Through Open World Exploration
You will encounter small pal souls throughout Palworld. Just keep roaming and you will eventually come across them.
In Chests
Chests of different sizes and types are scattered across Palworld. When you open them, along with other materials, you will find Pal souls of all types. The more exquisite the chest is the better the Pal Soul type.
By Defeating or Farming Pals
Lastly, there are certain pals that will drop Pal Souls if you can farm them regularly then you will have a large supply of Pal Souls in your hand. The pals that drop pal souls are the following:

How to Use Pal Souls
To use Pal Souls, you will need to build a Statue of Power. You will be able to build them when you reach level 8. The recipe is unlocked through technology points. You will also need 10 Pladium Fragments & 20 Stones to craft the statue.
Once the statue is set, interact with it and select the pal that needs an upgrade. You can also revert an upgrade by spending gold through the statue.
