In a massive announcement, Team Empire has revealed that they will be dropping four players from their Rainbow Six Siege roster.
The news directly came from Team Empire’s official Twitter account, and the org will be releasing the four players of JoyStiCK, ShepparD, Always, and dan, which was left the whole Siege community utterly confused.
Scyther, the only remaining player, will be joined by Pavel “Amision” Chebatkov, Andrey “Andreezy” Bavian, Artyom “wTg” Morozov, and Anatoly “eXoduSS” Martynov. Except ‘eXoduSS’, the other three players have been a part of Virtus.pro across different years. Empire recently also replaced their coach “Zheka” with “RayzerGM”.
JoyStiCK and ShepparD have been with Team Empire since 2018, while Dan and Always joined in 2019 and 2020 respectively. This Russian roster has seen massive success over the years. Most recently, in 2021, Team Empire made it to the Grand Finals of both the Mexico Major and the Six Invitational 2022.
The roster also performed consistently throughout EUL 2021 season, which is why the decision to drop the roster seems unbelievable. NAVI player Jack “Doki” Robertson has dubbed this roster shuffle “the worst decision in esports history“.
We have yet to see what will happen to the ex-Empire roster, but keep following us for the latest updates.
