Starfield lets you experience grand adventures across the universe. The story of this marvelous space experience can be 17 to 18 hours long if you focus on the main objectives. You can enjoy all aspects of the game while playing the main story missions. Name it a space soldier, Bounty hunter, combat medic, or whatever you want to be—the story will align with your journey. And on your journey to know the cosmos, you will encounter a side mission called “Surgical Strike.”
You can access this side quest after completing “Shadows in Neon“. Here, you will be assigned some challenging investigations. And this investigation is based on finding out the whereabouts of Maya Cruz. This guide will give you a complete guide to finding her whereabouts, so stick till the end!
How to Find Maya Cruz in Starfield
During the previous mission, you already learned that Maya Cruz is in a Clinic on Deepla Planet in the Narion Star System. When inquiring at the clinic, you will know that she went into a hideout in the Abandoned Asteroid Mine at Sakharov. So, your next target is to go to the Sakharov and look into the Abandoned Asteroid Mine.
To reach the Asteroid Mine, get on your spaceship, open the star map, and plot a path to the Sakharov star system. Head there, dock your ship near the abandoned asteroid mine, and board at the Eklund Site CL25.
As soon as you board while looking through the Eklund site, you will notice a Secure access door. There’s a button beside it; press that to unlock the door. Go through the door, and you will hear Maya Cruz’s voice threatening you to leave the place as she prepares some dangers for you. There, You will see stairs in front of you. Take the stairs and head down. Be careful, as there will be traps and mines here and there. Maya planted those beforehand to sabotage you. Avoid those mines safely as you move forward. In the meantime, you will be attacked by some minions. Finish them off before proceeding further.
You will see an EMERGENCY CUTTABLE WALL with four pins pointed to cut them. Use a Cutter to destroy them, or shoot them with your weapon to break the door if you don’t have a cutter. After getting inside, you will be confronted with some hostile robots. Take them down. From there, turn left and activate the elevator to go down to the lower level. There, you will find an office with a Remote Security Door computer.
The computer is locked. You will have to use Digipicks to unlock it. After that, use the computer to open another security door entrance. Enter that door and you will see another elevator. Use the elevator to go down to the lower level. Be careful now as there will be some hostile turrets aiming at you. Get past and keep walking.
If you have a companion, it will be easier to fight. However, you can also use a computer to deactivate those turrets. The computer will be upstairs.
After deactiavting those mining turrets, you will encounter another EMERGENCY CUTTABLE WALL. Go through as the same you have done it before. Maya Cruz will be waiting for you behind the wall.
Confront her. You will be given two options: you can either kill her to get some good stash, or you can even steal the slate from her. Make up your mind, and you will be done with the quest in a moment. Prost!
