Weapon & Armor Farming in Starfield
There are three ways you can farm for gears in Starfield. They are:
- Save exploit
- Difficulty exploit
- Enemy farming
Save Exploit

The easiest weapon and armor farming method you can try is saving before facing a high-level enemy and seeing if he gives a good drop.
If they don’t drop legendary gear, then you can just reload from your save and keep doing this until you get your desired weapon and armor.
Difficulty Exploit

Another way to get legendary gear is by switching up the difficulty level. Higher difficulty offers greater rewards. This doesn’t mean you must take on high-level enemies when just starting.
That is where difficulty exploit comes in. You start your farming by setting the difficulty at the highest level. Then, you just have to lower the difficulty right before you start raiding the enemy or entering the outpost.
In short, just keep the difficulty High, and right before you enter combat, then switch it down to Very Easy. Doing this keeps the enemy’s high-grade gear but reduces their combat skills to the difficulty you have set.
However, you need to ensure not to lower the difficulty before a loading screen, as that will revert their gears to a lower level.
Enemy Farming

With the previous two farming options, you want to mix it up with enemy farming so that you can get the best loot out of every scenario. Finding the best enemy farming locations is quite easy.
Just go to your nearest missions board and find the ‘Kill“-type missions. In these types of missions, you will have to go to an outpost or camp and face many enemies, along with elite-class foes.
And if you haven’t guessed it already, elite class enemies (the ones with two or three health bars) are most likely to drop legendary weapons and armor in Starfield.
Pair enemy farming with difficulty exploit and save exploit, and you will be able to farm the best legendary weapons and armor as much as you want.
