Star Ocean: The Divine Force is the brand-new installment in Square Enix’s long-running JRPG franchise of Star Ocean. The story follows Raymond Lawrence, whose spaceship crash lands on an underdeveloped planet after being attacked by the Pangalactic Federation. There, he meets Laeticia, the crown princess of the Kingdom of Aucerius, who is fighting to defend her home planet from an ongoing invasion.
A war between the Kingdom of Aucerius and the Veal Empire is looming over the universe. And an unidentified developed planet is somehow influencing the outcome of this war. Follow the story of Raymond and Laeticia as they set out on an adventure that shakes the universe to its core.
The game will feature an immersive open world where players can soar through the sky by gliding across vast landscapes in a 360-degree free-roam setting. Moreover, players can also leap from roof to roof of buildings. Furthermore, the battle system of this new Star Ocean game has received a massive overhaul. In The Divine Force, players can chain combos and perform special attacks by expending AP.
The Divine Force will also have sixteen unique character endings that decide the fate of the two protagonists, Raymond and Laeticia.
