Star Guardians was a massive success for Riot, making three appearances so far, and we may be getting another big Star Guardian event in the summer.

The first Star Guardian skins were released in 2016, with Janna, Jinx, Lulu, Lux, and Poppy getting Star Guardian skins. The roster was increased again in 2017, with Ahri, Ezreal, Miss Fortune, Soraka, and Syndra all joining the Guardians. The 2017 Star Guardian Event was one of the best events in Riot’s history, with new game modes created only for the event.

In 2019, Neeko, Rakan, Xayah, and Zoe received Star Guardian skins. The skins of Xayah, Rakan, and Zoe were a bit darker and classified as ‘Corrupted Guardians.’

Riot already confirmed Star Guardian’s return in 2022. However, some leaks pointed to a huge Star Guardian event coming in June/July. Players should be looking forward to some new champions getting Star Guardian or some Corrupted Star Guardian skins.

Big Bad Bear (@BigBadBear_), known for his accurate leaks, shared some new information regarding Star Guardians.

Champions to Receive Star Guardian Skins

Big Bad Bear confirms Star Guardian Ekko and a prestige edition one. He is also confident about Kai’sa getting a legendary Star Guardian skin.

Besides, a Chinese source also leaked Star Guardian Caitlyn and Akali. The new Star Guardian Event will probably feature ten champions, one of them being a new champion.

So far, there are no leaks about the other champions that may get star guardian skins. The League community has been asking for Star Guardian Urgot for a long time. Players will have to wait a little longer to see if Riot has any plans in that matter.
