Riot confirms League of Legends Star Guardian skins for 2022.
Riot Games opted for the free 2 play model for League of Legends. which is probably one of the reasons for the huge success of League. Riot makes money by selling a variety of skins for the available 157 champions. These skins provide a way for players to customize their characters and stand out on the battlefield.
The Star Guardian skins are such a series of skins for different champions. Riot didn’t just introduce this skin set but threw a good bit of lore as well. According to the League of Legends Wiki, the Star Guardian is a series of parallel universe skins that follow the story of a group of high school students who chose to become cosmic protectors.
Last year there were many speculations that strongly suggested Star Guardian’s return, however, they never got released in 2021. Similarly, there were also some leaks a few days ago that confirmed its return.
But now, in the Season 2022 announcement, Riot Games has officially confirmed that there will be new Star Guardian skins in League of Legends.
Riot however yet to reveal which champions are getting the Star Guardian 2022 skins.
