Here is a complete breakdown of all the side quests in Soul Hackers 2 and how to complete them.
Soul Hackers 2 is the brand new turn-based JRPG title from Atlus. Atlus is famous for creating the Shin Megami Tensei franchise, which is now considered a separate genre of its own. Soul Hackers 2 is the sequel to Atlus’ 1997 Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers, but it introduces a brand new set of characters and story.
The game’s story is centered around protagonists Ringo and Figue. They are sentient AI beings called Aion, who is on a mission to save humanity from certain destruction. As they are sent to this world to protect humanity, they will team up with Devil Summoners Arrow, Milady, and Saizo.

Like any other SMT game, most notably Atlus’ Persona series, you can battle demons in dungeons, negotiate with them, and recruit them. And outside of battle, you can explore the human world, go to Hangout events, try out different meals, upgrade weapons, fuse demons, and complete side quests. This guide will specifically focus on all the side quests Soul Hackers 2 offers.
All Side Quests in Soul Hackers 2
Like with any RPG, there is an abundance of side quests for you to do. Most side quests are optional and reward you with items, stat bonuses, and shop discounts. You can see available side quests from the Request section upon interacting with her. However, there are a few missable sidequests that can be found outside. So, if you are a completionist who doesn’t want to miss out on any of the side quests, we’ve got you covered!

- Answer: The Court of Osiris.
Dark Night Rises
- Quest Level: 58
- Reward: Messenger’s Robe
Given you have completed the Night of the Living Snowman subquest, you should be able to accept this quest from Club Cretaceous after beating Azazel in Sea Area, which is the second mini-boss battle of the 24th Ward Municipal Tower dungeon.
Head to Shinsando and speak to Detective Masayoshi, who will ask you to investigate a cult. This will require you to speak to different NPCs around the city to gather intel. There are three NPCs that you should talk to in particular. One is in Shinsando, and the other two are near Karakucho’s Breaking Mart and Ramen stall, respectively.
Then, speak to Mei and her brother Ren from The Little Sister quest. They can be found right across from the Breaking Mart. And they’ll point you in the direction of the Municipal Tower dungeon. Once you’re in Sea Area 2F, speak to the Decarabia to your right and ask it to change the water’s flow upwards. Then follow along the straight path and defeat the demon in the room at the end. After defeating the demon, report back to Masayoshi to collect your reward.
That Which Lies Ahead
- Quest Level: 90
- Reward: Original Flame
This quest is only accessible after beating Azazel in the Municipal Tower’s Sea Area in New Game+. Moreover, you must also have completed the That Which Thirsts For Blood subquest. Madame Ginko will assign you the quest herself.
And this time, you’ll have to defeat a level 90 Seth in the Municipal Tower’s Sea Area 4F. The Seth is weak to Ice but blocks Elec and repels Gun. Moreover, it will also summon three Succubi and 2 Pazuzus that are weak to Elec. Report back to Madame Ginko after your battle to collect your reward.
A New Hee-Home: Part 5
- Quest Level: 50
- Reward: Amrita drop
This is the very last repeatable subquest from the New Hee-Home subquest line and can be accessed after beating Azazel in Sea Area. To do this quest, go ahead and talk to Frost Goro, the friendly Jack Frost standing in front of the entrance of the Municipal Tower. This time, you’ll have to defeat 5 Baihu demons that commonly spawn across the dungeon’s first floor. Report back to Frost Goro when you are done to collect your reward.
