In terms of gameplay, Soul Hackers 2 highly resembles Atlus’ Persona games and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE. You have the classic social link elements that allow you to spend time with your friends and strengthen your relationship so that they can aid you more in battle. But there are also ample exploration opportunities and the choice of experiencing different meals.
With that said, Soul Hackers 2 will not take nearly as long to finish compared to a game like Persona 5 or Persona 5 Royal, which can easily take over 100 hours to beat. In this guide, we will go over the total duration it takes to beat the base game and the DLC story content Soul Hackers 2 has to offer.
Soul Hackers 2 Total Duration
With side quests that don’t majorly affect your gameplay experience and an additional story arc that will cost you an extra $10 to play, you can beat the base storyline fairly quickly by RPG standards. If you solely want to experience the story and are perhaps breezing through all the encounters on easy mode, you can beat the game in about 25 to 30 hours.
Having said that, a fairly story-focused gameplay approach with having done only a handful of sidequests will still take you around 40 hours. However, if you are someone who wants to get a good feel of everything the game has to offer without trying too hard to Platinum it, then it might take you around 60 to 70 hours to beat.
Lost Numbers DLC Arc
If you want to get more story content out of Soul Hackers 2, you could purchase the Lost Numbers story arc DLC separately for $9.99. This DLC introduces a new Demon Summoner named Nana, who is on a mission to find her father. Purchasing Nana’s Lost Numbers story arc DLC will give you access to the Hachigaya Training Field dungeon field, which is said to harbor some of the game’s toughest opponents. Moreover, there is also a super boss you need to fight at the end of this dungeon, making the boss fight almost punishable.
