The Sniper meta is changing with the release of Call of Duty: Warzone’s Season 3. Here’s everything we know about the upcoming changes.
Upcoming Sniper Meta Changes in Warzone Pacific Season 3
Sniper rifles have been an integral part of Warzone’s meta. With the release of Rebirth Island and Caldera, Sniper Rifles started to become a top priority for a player’s weapon loadout. With the recent Warzone Season 2 Reloaded update, the core health pool of players was increased to 150. The 150 core health shifted the whole meta.
Sniper rifles might lose their one-shot potential, making them less rewarding for players. The loss of one-shot potential will heavily increase the time to kill in gunfights. Not being able to down a player with one shot will mean longer gunfights and will increase the chances of getting third partied.
Sniper Meta in Warzone Season 2 Reloaded
With the season 2 reloaded update, sniper rifles were heavily adjusted. They did less damage than intended. Pro players and content creators demonstrated how sniper rifles required two shots to down a player. Unsurprisingly, this was a heavy change for Warzone as the sniper rifle meta has always been about the one-shot potential no matter what range.
However, Raven Softwares fixed the damage output with a hot-fix as the community was not happy with the sudden changes to the sniper rifle.
Future of Sniper Meta in Warzone Pacific Season 3
Further leaks before the release of Warzone Pacific Season 3 will help us understand where the sniper meta might go. A change in sniper meta will increase the time to kill for long-range gunfights. With maps like Rebirth Island and Caldera, a shift in the sniper meta will result in more fast-paced gunfights. Holding hill and camping for kills in these maps will not ensure a victory, that’s for sure.
