What are Slime Combos in Slime Rancher 2?
If you haven’t played the first installment, let me tell you; in Slime Rancher 2, you can combine two slime types into one. As a result, we get a larger slime, which we dearly call Largo. What’s the reason, you ask?
Well, there are several. Firstly, your space is getting saved. You know how short-stuffed the Conservatory can get. Check out here to learn more about that. Moreover, your efficiency will increase by several folds. On top of that, the Largo you will create out of 2 slimes is gonna exhibit the traits of both. That is really cool!
How to Make a Slime Combo in Slime Rancher 2?
All you need to do is, catch a slime of your choice. Then, feed it a plort of another slime of your choice. Now, this step is important. After you feed it, you will see a Largo instantly. Easy as that.
However, please do not be greedy and go for a third time, like, feeding it the plort of another one. This time, the Largo will get tired of it and transform into a Tarr Slime. That is another story and quite difficult to deal with as it ravishes anything that comes in front of him. Note that down. However, do you know how Slime Science works?
Best Slime Combos
With the information about Largo, you can now create any combo out of those jello monsters. However, there are combos that you will find a bit better than the other ones in terms of profit and progression in the game. With that in mind, let’s check out the best possible slime combos you can make out of those slimes in Slime Rancher 2.
Pink-Phosphor Largo
You are already familiar with the mascot of Slime Rancher, the Pink Slime. These harmless pieces of jello are too shy to have a favorite food of their own. On the other hand, the Phosphor ones have Cuberries permanent on their menu.
The combination of Pink Phosphor plort can be sold for 10-22 Newbucks. You know how the price fluctuates. So make a strategy beforehand. However, note that the Phosphor jellos need Solar Shield as they cannot be exposed to Sun for very long.
Cotton-Tabby Largo
Tabbies have made an appearance from the original Slime Rancher. Provide plorts of the Cotton creatures, and they will turn into a new Largo.
If you played the first installment, you probably have an idea how much carnivore the Tabbies were. However, this Largo made a drastic change and caused them herbivores. Their plorts can be sold for 15-22 Newbucks.
Honey-Crystal Largo
Honey and Crystal have a deadly combination where the Honey slime plorts are used to attack others, and their Largo seems quite thorny with the spikes built up from the Crystal variation.
I would suggest feeding Crystal plort to Honey slime rather than doing the opposite. As the Largo from this combination will have Mint Mango as their favorite food, the other variation will have Odd Onion as their favorite. However, you can sell their plorts for about 45-60 Newbucks.
Boom-Batty Largo
The hostile Boom slimes are combining with the Batty ones to create a new Largo. However, please keep them in a shaded place rather than letting them hang out in the Sun.
Like the last one, the suggestion would be feeding Boom plort to a Batty slime as the Pomegranates are easier to get rather than going after Hens. You can sell their plorts for 20-45 Newbucks.
Rock-Angler Largo
Another classic one, the Rock slime, made an appearance while making a combo with the new Angler variation in Slime Rancher 2.
You will find the Rock slime quite an easy catch. However, we are after Newbucks. Their plorts are available to be sold for around 20-22 Newbucks.
This is all I have on the best Slime combos in Slime Rancher 2. Cheers!
