In this article, we talk about the Arena mode‘s Shop Phase.

The Arena mode is the newest addition to League of Legends’ rotating game modes. It’s a game mode that takes elements from League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics and creates an amalgamation of a mode that is both fun and competitive at the same time.

In the mode, two players can team up with each other and participate in a series of 2v2 fights. Up to eight players can participate in the mode, each divided into four teams of two. Each team takes turns facing off against each other, and the team standing wins the game. Losing a round result in losing HP, and if your team’s HP reaches zero, your team is out.

Between each round, players are put into an interval period called the “Shop Phase.” During this phase, players can buy items or choose an augment to power up their champions. So using this time wisely is the key to success in the arena mode. But, to properly utilize the shop phase, one must know what it is and how it works.

So in this article, we will take a deep dive into the ins and outs of the Arena modes shop phase.

Shop Phase Explained

First of all, the shop phase lasts only for 45 seconds. In this short time window, you must choose augments or buy items for your champion.

The first shop phase starts at the beginning of the match. In it, you are given 1000 gold to spend, and you can use it to buy Starter Items, Boots, or new consumable items called Juice.

There are four kinds of Juices in this mode, Juice of Haste, Juice of Power, Juice of Vitality, and Cappa Juice. The juices of Haste, Power, and Vitality give a temporary combat stat boost, while the Cappa Juice is sort of a joke item that does nothing.

At round two, you get access to your first augments. You can choose the augment you like or reroll up to two times to get an augment to your liking. A champion can have up to a total of four augments, and these are given to you at rounds 2, 5, 8, and 11.

Augments can make or break a game, so choose your augments wisely. That said, we have a list of all the augments, which can be found here.

Round three nets you yet another 1000 gold. From round four onwards, you get 3000 gold every round barring the augment rounds. The base price of all Mythic or Legendary items is 3000 gold. So you get a massive boost in power every round after round three.

You can gain additional gold each round by killing your opponents. Each enemy nets you 350 gold, and you can get up to 700 gold each round. So, use this extra gold to buy Juices to boost your power.

With that, you know everything about the Shop Phase is Riot’s new Arena 2v2v2v2 mode.
