s0m is bringing a stacked lineup to the VCT 2027 Americas Kickoff qualifiers, teaming up with florescent, Marved, Shanks, and Subroza. FNS will coach the squad as it prepares to enter North America’s open qualifiers on November 5, 2026.
The mix brings together international title winners and familiar streaming personalities for a run toward São Paulo. There’s plenty of experience here, but turning those individual résumés into a successful qualifier campaign will be the real test.
In brief:
- s0m, florescent, Marved, Shanks, and Subroza will compete together, with FNS coaching.
- North America’s first open qualifier runs from November 5 to 8, 2026.
- The team will compete through the qualification pathway for VCT Americas Kickoff 2027 in São Paulo.
- Fans can follow the squad’s matches on s0m’s Twitch channel.
s0m’s VCT Qualifier Roster Features florescent, Marved, and FNS
The announcement brings six recognizable names together, although FNS is listed as the coach rather than a sixth starting player. As of writing, the team had yet to reveal its name.
| Member | Country | Position |
|---|---|---|
| s0m | United States | Player |
| florescent | Canada | Player |
| Marved | Canada | Player |
| Shanks | Canada | Player |
| Subroza | Canada | Player |

The lineup gives viewers an unusual combination of established competitive talent and players best known recently for their streams. Agent assignments and the team’s approach will be worth watching once matches begin.
Champions and Masters Winners Join the Same Squad
s0m brings a world championship to the lineup after helping NRG win VALORANT Champions 2025. NRG defeated Fnatic 3–2 in the Paris grand final, surviving a comeback attempt to secure the trophy.
Marved and FNS share another major achievement: winning Masters Reykjavík 2022 with OpTic Gaming. Their history gives the new squad a connection to one of North America’s most successful international rosters.
florescent adds back-to-back Game Changers Championship titles from 2023 and 2024, both earned with Shopify Rebellion. She also received MVP honors during both championship runs before joining Apeks for the 2025 season.
Those achievements explain the “superteam” label. The challenge now is building a cohesive five-player unit, especially with limited room for mistakes in an open bracket.
VCT Americas Kickoff Qualifiers Begin November 5
North America’s qualification process starts with two open brackets:
- Open Qualifier 1: November 5–8, 2026
- Open Qualifier 2: November 12–15, 2026
Both use single-elimination, best-of-three matches, with at least four teams from each advancing to the qualifier playoffs.
Advancing through an opening bracket is only the first step. The wider competition includes a Swiss stage and a double-elimination playoff bracket. The playoff champion earns North America’s direct place at VCT Americas Kickoff 2027 in São Paulo, while the runner-up gets another opportunity through the Americas Last Chance Qualifier.
So, for s0m’s squad, that means proving itself across several stages before securing a main-event appearance.
How to Watch s0m’s Team in the VCT Qualifiers
Fans can watch the team’s matches on s0m’s Twitch channel. The early open-qualifier stages won’t have an official broadcast, making his stream the place to follow this lineup’s opening run.
Official coverage is scheduled to begin with the qualifier playoffs on the VALORANT Americas channels. The squad’s first scheduled day of competition is November 5, when its mix of championship experience and streaming chemistry faces the open bracket.
