League of Legends patch 11.9 to feature Kayn (Rhaast), Sett, Xerath, Taric, Lulu, Kindred, Shen, Kog’Maw, and Trundle buffs.
League of Legends Gameplay Design Director Mark “Scruffy” Yetter has previewed the MSI 2021 Patch 11.9 today. And it seems nine champions are getting some buffs ahead of the big tournament, including Kayn (Rhaast), Sett, Xerath, Taric, Lulu, Kindred, Shen, Kog’Maw, and Trundle.
Kindred, Trundle, and Kayn are the three junglers who will get buffs in the upcoming patch. Trundle has always been a pro-game champion rather than solo queue. Riot gutted him so hard last season that even with two buffs in season 11, he is hardly getting picked. Both Kindred and Kayn have similar win rates. And with these buffs, Darkin Kayn might become a meta jungler in patch 11.9, where Kindred may see an increase in her pick rate.
Patch 11.9 is also going to have some bot lane buffs as well. Two shield champions, Taric and Lulu, will receive some buffs. Also, Kog’maw is scheduled to get his second buff in season 11.
Top lane champions Sett and Shen are getting some notable buffs ahead of the 2021 MSI. Sett is very popular in the pro games for his flex pick, and Shen is the master of surprise. And buffing both of them in the MSI patch only means Riot is planning to make them relevant in the champions’ tournament.
Lastly, Xerath is the only mid laner to get buff in the upcoming patch 11.9.
