New information about the upcoming champion Briar has just been revealed.
With the recent release of Naafiri, players are eagerly excited to see what Riot has in store for us with their next champion, Briar.
Briar was initially revealed by Riot in their Season 2023 | LoL Pls video, along with Milio, Naafiri, and the Ionian Ink Mage. In the video, they showed off a gothic Castlevania-esque castle and revealed that she would be a vampire champion for Noxus. They also revealed that she would be our newest Jungler and a “Hangry” one at that.
In addition, Riot Lexical made multiple references to frenzies, bloodlust, and uncontrollable hunger when describing the champion. So, Riot might be eluding to the fact that she might have a frenzy mechanic of some sort.
Other than that, there isn’t much information about Briar. But recently, new details about her have been unveiled.

New Information
Recently, the League of Legends Youtuber, SkinSpotlights revealed some new information regarding Briar.
According to the Youtuber, new audio files have been found in the League client, having the name BR. Here BR is likely a codename for Briar. There are mentions of Neutral, Happy, Angry, and Sleep phases within the audio files.
Listening to the audio files, we can hear chains rattling and heavy doors opening, giving us a dungeon-esque vibe. It would seem that she would be more of a Gothic character than the “Little Vampire Girl” stereotype many assumed.
Release Date
As for the release date for Briar, we do not have any concrete date yet. But, judging by all the information received so far, we will likely be getting Briar on Patch 13.18, which is scheduled to release on Wednesday, Sept 13, 2023.
