Lotus will see some major map changes in VALORANT with the upcoming patch 8.0.
VALORANT is nearing the end of Episode 7. The upcoming patch 8.0 will commence the new Episode 8 Act 1. With every new episode, Riot Games brings in some major changes, including maps and agents. For this new Episode, Lotus is going to have some significant modifications.
The major changes are made in C-site. The overall layout of the map where the spike can be planted is changed. You can no longer plant just beside the fountain entry, rather, it is moved towards the C-site bend. The C-site bend has also seen a new stairway to get into the site.
The B-site entry for both the attackers and defenders has also seen some changes. The site layout for the spike plant has also been changed. The glass door entrance from A-link is made spacious, which can be a bit problematic for the attackers to peek at.
The changes in the A-site are minor compared to the other two sites. The shape of the hut in the middle of the site is changed. It no longer has a pathway to move in between. Some extra crates are added in front of the glass door cubby.

As mentioned, Lotus will undergo several changes before making it into the game. Riot Games has already revealed the changes that will take place in Lotus, shifting the meta completely.

These changes are sure to have a significant impact on the current meta of the map. However, we need time to see how the community will accept the change and how much the gameplay meta will alternate.
