One of the most requested features ‘Role Selection’ for League of Legends: Wild Rift ranked is making its way in 2021.
League of Legends: Wild Rift is walking in the same direction as Riot’s other titles where devs are constantly updating the game to keep players occupied. As the game is already in the open beta, Riot has added multiple new champions to make the champ pool to 49 while giving some notable changes to the game and ranked system.
While the game is getting a lot of praise from the mobile gaming community, players are feeling something is off in the ranked games. League of Legends: Wild Rift doesn’t have a role selection feature similar to the PC version of League of Legends which is causing these concerns among players.
Many players are reporting that they are “sick of blind picks in ranked” and it is making them play the role that they are not used to. Some other players also think “Role selection in ranked queue should 100% be put in the game” to make ranked more competitive.
And after all these complaints, Riot Soundwave has confirmed that the Role Selection in League of Legends: Wild Rift ranked is finally coming very soon.
“Currently in production; we’re likely going to give some details on what it looks like early next year, as it’s not 1 to 1 with the system we have in League (although it obviously fills the same need of giving you agency in where you go),” Riot Soundwave said.
Previously, Riot also mentioned that the Wild Rift’s role selection in ranked will “almost certainly not be the same system as PC.”
Regardless, fans can expect to see the new ranked system in League of Legends: Wild Rift in early 2021.
