Onimusha and Pragmata Give Capcom More Hits

Onimusha: Way of the Sword reaching 1.78 million is an encouraging result for the returning series. Its September release also means it had considerably less time to build sales within this reporting period than Pragmata, which arrived in April.
Pragmata’s 2.73 million total gives Capcom another successful original property to work with. The publisher previously said the game exceeded its first-quarter expectations and that it was considering further promotional initiatives. A successful new IP gives fans a reason to hope for more, although these figures alone don’t confirm a sequel.
Resident Evil Remakes Keep Selling Millions

Resident Evil 4 is the standout performer in the chart’s reporting-period column, adding 3.54 million units. That takes the 2023 remake to 17.15 million lifetime sales.
Resident Evil 2 remains ahead on lifetime numbers at 20.38 million, followed by Resident Evil 7 at 18.87 million. Village and the Resident Evil 3 remake have also comfortably cleared 14 million each.
Together with Requiem’s continued sales, those results underline how much demand remains for earlier entries. Capcom now puts the Resident Evil franchise at 218 million cumulative units.
Digital Sales Dominate Capcom’s Game Business

Digital purchases represented 92.4% of game unit sales during the first half. That percentage measures copies sold, rather than Capcom’s total company revenue.
The publisher also reported its highest-ever first-half total and catalog unit sales, showing how much older releases contribute alongside new launches.
Resident Evil Veronica Remains Scheduled for 2027
Capcom’s release schedule still lists Resident Evil Veronica for 2027, with versions planned for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. An exact release date remains unannounced.
