Gemstones are precious treasures that can make you rich in Resident Evil 4 Remake. So, keep reading to learn about all the best ways to obtain Gemstones in the game.
Finding treasures and trading them with mysterious merchants for weapons and upgrades was one of the core mechanics of Resident Evil 4. So, it’s no surprise that it made a comeback in the new remake as well.
However, the trade is not as simple and straightforward as it sounds. A treasure sold on its own will not fetch a good price unless it is inlaid with gemstones. Gemstones in Resident Evil 4 are precious stones that are designed to elevate the value of any antique treasures you may find throughout your journey.
Although Gemstones themselves are considered treasure items that can be sold on their own, it is almost never recommended. That’s because, by combining your treasures with Gemstones, you can sell them at special pieces. Moreover, you can combine different types of Gemstones to earn special bonuses.

How to Get Gemstones in RE4 Remake
Below are all the ways you can obtain Gemstones in the new Resident Evil 4 Remake.
Loot Chests
You’ll come across various chests during the course of your journey. And while some are easily accessible, others require solving various puzzles to get to. However, it’s almost always worth the extra hassle, as these chests contain precious Gemstones.
Defeat Mini-Bosses and Special Enemies
There are plenty of difficult enemies and optional mini-bosses for you to take down in RE4 Remake. And while facing them is a dangerous ordeal, it can be very rewarding since they almost always drop Gemstones as loot.
For example, mini-bosses such as Brutes or Chainsaw Villagers have a 100% drop rate for Gemstones. Moreover, other difficult enemies such as Armadura Knight, which is a parasite-infested armored knight, and Novistador, which are the bat-like monsters that can either fly or camouflage themselves, will always drop a Gemstone.
Trade with Merchants
You can purchase required Gemstones from Merchants using Spinels, which are earned by completing various side quests called Requests. Special enemies like Armadura Knights also drop Spinels. It is a fast and efficient way of obtaining special Gemstones.
