In a recent research from Royal Panda to determine the smartest gamers, Rainbow Six Siege players came out at the top with the highest IQ.
Royal Panda teamed up with a group of psychologists to determine the smartest gamers in the industry. The study included 1001 gamers and technology users, who were put to the test in four key signs of intelligence: Verbal Intelligence, Mathematical Ability, Logical Reasoning, and Visual Reasoning. But before taking the test, the participants were asked about some demographic identifiers, such as their gaming platform and recently played game, which were used in calculating the results.

Firstly, the data showed that PC gamers were the smartest with a combined score of 112.3. Following behind were PlayStation gamers with 110.7, and Xbox with 103.8. Nintendo Switch and Mobile gamers remained at the end with 101.3 and 99.4 IQ, respectively.

Among all the games selected for this research, Rainbow Six Siege players were the smartest with a collective IQ score of 120.3. Following closely behind is the detective-skill-based game Among Us with 118.9 and Minecraft in third place with 116.3 IQ. The study also tells us that female gamer beat out their male opponents with a score of
108.4, compared to only 102.3.
However, with such a small sample size in this study, this data can easily get skewed, and it might even enforce harmful stereotypes in the gaming community: a major downside for this research. All people will have different backgrounds and intellectual aspects, which are not taken into consideration. So before passing on judgments, take all these scores with a pinch of salt.
