Rainbow Six Siege is joining the PlayStation Tournaments: Open Series

Ubisoft has just announced that Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege will be joining the PlayStation Tournaments Open Series starting on September 2.

The PlayStation Tournaments: Open Series provide players with a competitive environment to participate, improve their gameplay and more.

In an official blog post, Sony has explained that FPS fans will have an expanded range of options for PlayStation Tournaments with the addition of Rainbow Six Siege as well as Apex Legends.

The Open Series is one of the best options for everyday PlayStation users to get a taste of professional matches. Players will be able to compete for titles and earn special rewards such as themes, avatars, virtual currency and even cash prizes for the top teams.

Rainbow Six Siege PS4 Tournament

With 60 Operators to choose from, each tournament pits two squads of five against each other in TDM Bomb mode. And any Rainbow Six: Siege player on PlayStation 4 can join a tournament.

To sign up for a tournament:
•  Launch Rainbow Six: Siege on your PlayStation 4.
•  Select the PlayStation Tournaments tile on the Home menu. 
•  Pick the tournament you want to sign up to.
Please note that many tournaments are region-specific. You may not be able to sign up for tournaments being hosted in other regions.
•  Select the Register button.
From here you will be able to review the tournament’s rules and select the team you want to join. 

Players will have the opportunity to engage in competitive Rainbow Six Siege by taking part in weekly online qualifiers:

  • Thursdays: Asia-Pacific, Latin and South America qualifiers
  • Fridays: Eastern Europe and North America qualifiers
  • Saturdays: Western Europe, North America and Middle East qualifiers

The competitions for Apex Legend players will be available starting on Wednesday, September 1, while Rainbow Six Siege will arrive on Thursday, September 2. Register here.
