Ubisoft has announced that Rainbow Six Siege operator Mira will be temporarily disabled from all Siege esports competitions due to a new bug.
According to Ubisoft, the “recently discovered bug” of Mira’s main gadget the “Black Mirrors” is the reason to take such an urgent decision.
This Mira bug was brought to the limelight by Kaosx on Twitter (discovered by @goodjinsup). This gameplay bug was allowing players to kill people through the solid Mira windows with explosives. So, by placing a nitro cell on the Black Mirror, defenders can easily eliminate attackers on the other side of the mirror, without them even suspecting a thing.
However, it does work both ways, so attackers will also be able to throw a grenade near the mirror and get a kill. We won’t encourage any players to actually abuse this bug, as it might go against Ubisoft’s TOS and lead to a suspension.
While many players were wondering if this gameplay feature was intended or not, Ubisoft’s latest announcement has now confirmed it to be a bug. Rainbow Six Siege devs are already working on a fix, so we will keep you updated with the latest information.
