Riot has officially revealed that Porcelain Lissandra from the previous Lunar Revel would receive a Prestige edition in patch 13.1.
Lunar New Year is one of the first major cultural events of the year. It marks the start of the lunisolar calendar, whose months are determined by moon cycles. Because it is a traditional Chinese event, it is also known as “Chinese New Year.” Furthermore, every mainstream and live-service game commemorates this occasion, and League of Legends is no exception.
Since 2011, League of Legends has celebrated Lunar New Year in one way or another. In 2011, Riot released only one skin to celebrate the occasion, Lion Dance Kog’Maw. But in the following years, Riot started to release complete skin lines.
In Lunar Revel 2022, we received two skin lines, Porcelain and Firecracker. Similarly, in 2023, we will receive two separate skin lines for Lunar New Year, Mythmaker and Lunar Empress. In addition, Riot will be making a prestige edition for one of the previously released skins, Porcelain Lissandra.
Lissandra was released in 2013. And even though she has a high pick rate in the pro scene, she doesn’t have a high pick rate in the solo queue. Moreover, she also doesn’t get many balance changes, as Riot made her last adjustment during the durability update.
As she is not as popular in ranked, she only has 7 different skin. However, her Porcelain skin will be the first to receive a prestige edition many months after its release. As a result, we can expect Riot to release more prestige editions for already released skins.
