Pokemon Scarlet and Violet introduce the 9th generation of pokemon to the game. Along with that, we also get to explore a new region called Paldea. This Spain-inspired region is an open world, just like the previous game.
Just like every new generation of pokemon, we also have new legendary pokemon in this generation. These legendaries are Miraidon and Koraidon. But this time, the legendary pokemon works more like a mount for the player. You don’t need to grind, as you will get one of them at the start.
Since Miraidon and Koraidon function as a mount, you will get to ride them and transverse around the map. Here is how you can ride them in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Miraidon and Koraidon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
In pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Miraidon and Koraidon are the two legendary pokemon of this generation. They are version exclusive, and depending on the version; you will get one of them at the start of the game.
How to Unlock Ride for Miraidon or Koraidon
Even though you encounter Miraidon or Koraidon and get its Pokeball, you cannot ride them from the start. To ride Miraidon or Koraidon, you will have to first play through all the tutorial sections of the game. And this time, this section is pretty long. Depending on how fast you are playing, it will take one or two hours to complete the section.
In these sections, you will be introduced to the battling system and trestalization of your pokemon. You will also accept the three main story quests in the section. And finally, the school’s headmaster will announce a treasure hunt to complete the game’s tutorial.
After that, when you leave the school to go adventuring, a final tutorial will show you and give you the ability to ride Miraidon or Koraidon.
How to Ride Miraidon or Koraidon
In case you missed the prompt or just need a refresher, riding on Miraidon or Koraidon is very easy. All you have to do is press the “+” button on your Nintendo controller. Pressing this will summon Miraidon or Koraidon, and your character will ride on it. While riding Miraidon or Koraidon, you can also jump by pressing the B button.
And as you progress and defeat titan pokemon, they will gain more traversal ability, and you will be able to do more things like climbing, swimming, and gliding with Miraidon or Koraidon.
