How Play Worlds 2023 Pick’em

To play Worlds 2023 Pick’em, here is what you need to do:

  1. Go to the Pick’em page
  2. Sign in with your Riot Account
  3. Submit your predictions on the “Picks” page

Worlds 2023’s Pick’em is divided into Crystal Ball, Play-ins Stage, Swiss Stage, and Knockout Stage.

Crystal Ball

Crystal Ball returns again, as there are just as many categories to vote for this year. 20 Categories are set to be voted on as there are rewards to be earned. All the questions are divided equally into four categories: Event, Champions, Players, and Teams.

There are five questions for each category and a varying number of points that you will earn for getting it right. The Crystal Ball Predictions are open now and will be available to be voted on until October 10, 12:15 am PT.

Play-Ins Stage

For the Play-Ins Stage, there are multiple series and brackets to finish. However, in terms of Pick’Ems, all you need to do is to pick the two teams that will qualify for the Swiss Stage. As we have the Worlds Qualification Series on October 9, that might help you decide on your two teams.

The Play-Ins Prediction is live now and will be live until October 10, 12:15 am PT. Play-ins will be starting from October 10 until October 15.

Swiss Stage

The brand new Stage for Worlds 2023, Swiss Stage, will pit teams of equal records against one another. Get 3 wins, and you are through. For the Pick’ems, all you have to do is pick the 8 teams that will move on to the Quarterfinals. You can also earn bonus points for guessing one 3 – 0 team.

We will see the Swiss Stage games in action from October 19 – 29, while the prediction window will be live from October 15, 8 am PT, to October 18, 10 pm PT.

Knockouts Stage

These predictions will all be similar as you are voting on the Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals. You vote for which team wins the series and get points off of that. Here are the windows for when you can vote for the individual series.

Quarterfinals

Overall, the Quarterfinals window opens on October 30, 9 am PT. All the individual games are closing at the following times.

  • Quarterfinals 1: November 2, 2023 at 1:00 AM PT.
  • Quarterfinals 1: November 3, 2023 at 1:00 AM PT.
  • Quarterfinals 1: November 4, 2023 at 1:00 AM PT.
  • Quarterfinals 1: November 5, 2023 at 1:00 AM PT.

Semifinals

Like the Quarterfinals, the Semifinals prediction window is open from November 5, 8 am PT. The timing is as follows.

  • Semifinals 1: November 11, 2023 at 12:00 AM PT.
  • Semifinals 2: November 12, 2023 at 12:00 AM PT.

Finals

Lastly, the Finals prediction works the same way as the rest of the Knockouts Stage. The prediction window is open from November 12, 7 am PT until November 19, 12 am PT.

The Coin

Another part of the system that is back is The Coin. This will make a random pick for a player if they are late for a stage. So just use this to let RNG decide everything.

Note: The Coin will not do the Crystal Ball Selections if you miss them.

Scoring

Crystal Ball points: Scoring for Crystal Ball predictions will take place after the World Final concludes. All points earned for correct picks will be on a separate leaderboard than traditional Pick’Em points.

Play-In Stage points: Correct predictions for Play-Ins picks each award 10 points.

Swiss Stage points: You’ll earn 5 points for each team correctly picked to advance to the Quarterfinals and an additional 15 points if you correctly pick a team that goes 3-0. Accurately predict all 8 teams to advance along with an accurate 3-0 pick, and you’ll earn 20 additional points for a Perfect Swiss Stage.

Knockout Stage points: Each correct pick during the Quarterfinals awards 10 points. Correct picks during the Semifinals earn 15 points each. And successfully picking the Worlds Finals matchup nets you a massive 20 points!

Leaderboards have returned as Riot is implementing the system once more. Players can now stack up their rewards against others, friends included, to see how they are doing.
