Riot is nerfing Zeri in Patch 13.7 but are the nerfs enough to knock her down from Pro Play?
Zeri is probably the first thing that springs to mind when people think about Professional Play in League of Legends. During the past several months, the champion has been one of the strongest Marksmen and has been dominating the competitive meta.
Zeri has been a mainstay marksman champion in the competition since her introduction in early 2022. While she had been absent from the scene for a few months, she has returned to the top of the meta with her recent Mini-Rework.
Zeri right now can be seen in almost every Professional match. She is picked or banned in almost every game and has a presence of over 80%, which is the threshold required for a champion to get nerfed. So, as a result, Riot is nerfing her in Patch 13.7.
Riot recently released the details of the upcoming Zeri nerfs, and from the looks of it, it looks like a decent nerf. But the question is, are the nerfs enough to Put Zeri out of Pro Play? Let’s find out.

Patch 13.7 Zeri Nerfs
Here are the nerfs for Zeri that are coming in Patch 13.7.
- HP Growth: 115 >>> 110
- P Shield Steal: 60% >>> 50%
- R AD Ratio :: 100% >>> 85%
At first glance, the nerfs look pretty small, but if you factor in the indirect nerfs from Patch 13.6, it all adds up.
Riot nerfed several of the Marksmen items in the most recent patch, including Bloodthirster and Navori Qucikblades. They also nerfed Lethal Tembo, Legend: Bloodline and Dragons. All of which play a role in Zeri’s success. These indirect nerfs, in conjunction with the direct ones, should tone down zeri a bit.
But will it be enough to put Zeri out of pro play? Well, it should. But judging by how stubborn Professional players are to adapt, I would say we will see more of Zeri in MSI.
