Fake versions of Palworld are circulating on iOS and Android app stores, and the developers issued a warning for these apps.
Palworld has taken over the internet by storm after its record-shattering launch on Steam. The game broke multiple records, including becoming one of the fastest-selling titles ever on the platform. In addition, Palworld also became the second-ever game in Steam history to hit more than 2 million concurrent players.
Dubbed by many as ‘Pokemon with guns,’ the smash-hit survival game features players gathering resources and crafting weapons, bases, and other items while catching Pals in an open world. Palworld sold over 8 million units just five days after going live in Early Access on PC and Xbox on Friday, showing the game’s incredible success. Nonetheless, the game’s popularity has sparked debate as there are similarities between Pals and some Pokémon characters.

Due to the game’s worldwide success, Palworld has popped up for download on the App Store and Google’s Play Store. However, developer Pocket Pair has warned that those games are not affiliated with Palworld and the studio.
Pocket Pair Issued a Warning on Fake Palworld Games
Palworld developers issued a warning on Twitter/X following confusion within the community on fake Palworld games appearing on iOS and Android app stores.
[Warning] There is no Palworld application for phones. Apps using names and product images such as “パルワールド” and “Palworld” are appearing on the AppStore and Google Play, but they are not affiliated with our company in any way.
We have reported this issue to Apple, which operates the App Store, and Google, which operates Google Play.
Please be aware that downloading these apps may lead to the leakage of personal information stored on your smartphone or to fraud.

Pocket Pair has stated that the game will come to PlayStation 5 in the future. However, the studio did not mention whether they plan to bring the hit game to mobile devices. Currently, Palworld is only available on PC via Steam, Xbox consoles, and Xbox Game Pass.
Pocket Pair announced in their official roadmap that crossplay between Xbox and Steam is officially in the works and will be coming soon. Currently, Palworld crossplay is only available between Xbox and Microsoft Store versions.
