Call of Duty has officially teased its collaboration with the Godzilla Universe. Leaks suggest Godzilla and Kong will arrive at the start of Season 3.

Several months ago, reputed leakers “GhostOfHope” and “RealityUK” teased the arrival of Godzilla and Kong in Warzone. Their claims have now been backed up by a teaser posted by the official Call of Duty Twitter account.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Season 3 “Godzilla vs. Kong”

According to the official Call of Duty Twitter account, Nazis have deployed Nebula bombs worldwide, including Caldera Island. Team Harpy can be seen running around a field, fighting them to intercept the bomb. After they kill the Nazis, an ORCA intercept reveals a monster’s scream echoing on the frequency, which the Nebula Bomb has awakened.

Later, an audio clip from the Call of Duty Twitter account was posted. According to the audio, a monster is screaming on the ORCA broadcast. Anyone who has seen the Godzilla movies will recognize that sound. It’s the sound of Godzilla’s atomic breath.

The ORCA is a device used to mimic the bioacoustics used by Titans in the Godzilla series. This effectively allows humans to communicate with and control them by imitating alpha Titan commands.

The device debuted in the 2019 graphic novel Godzilla: Aftershock and was later used in Godzilla: King of Monsters and Godzilla vs. Kong (2021). The sound of the ORCA device on repeat can be heard in the aforementioned audio clip.

Release Date of the Crossover

It is still unknown whether Godzilla or Kong will roam around the map and kill players. It might also be similar to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s giant teddy bear easter egg from the Station gunfight map. With the start of Warzone and Vanguard Season 3 on April 27, players will soon learn how the monsters are connected to the Call of Duty universe.
